Who we are and what we do
Our History
St. John's Citadel, the largest Corps in Canada, is the spiritual home of about 600 families. We have been officially serving in Newfoundland since 1886. Our Corps community is proud of its heritage, and we celebrate the faith of the Salvationists who devoted their lives to ministry and service here in St. John’s.

The Salvation Army is an international Christian church. Its message is based on the Bible; its ministry is motivated by love for God and the needs of humanity.
